The letter was in response to attorney Theodore J. Boutrous’, op-ed about the California Supreme Court’s upcoming decision in Taus v. Loftus.

Elizabeth Loftus, a founding member of the controversial “False Memory Syndrome Foundation”, has been retained by the defense in the case against Vice President Cheney’s top aide “Scooter” Libby. The defense wants to admit her testimony in order to educate the court regarding “how memory works and why it fails” at Libby’s trial on charges of making false statements to federal investigators.
