The court gave temporary custody of the children’s father so he could take them to Family Bridges to repair their relationship. It was almost a year before they were allowed to see or speak to their mother again. These are among a growing number of children in high-conflict divorce cases being sent — often unwillingly — to nascent and unproven “reunification” programs, which cost tens of thousands of dollars.
